Moonflower Privacy Policy

Effective July 3, 2026

Moonflower does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Which websites you visit never leaves your device.

What Moonflower does

Moonflower is a Safari extension that darkens websites and offers a reading view. All page analysis and darkening happens locally, on your device, inside Safari. The extension never transmits the pages you visit, your browsing history, or anything derived from them.

Data we collect

None. Moonflower has no servers that receive user data, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no advertising identifiers.

Your settings and iCloud

Your themes and per-site preferences are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, they are synchronized between your devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud key-value storage. This data goes only to Apple’s iCloud service under your Apple Account; we have no access to it. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in the app’s settings.

Network requests the app makes

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchase status is stored on your device and verified with Apple.

Children

Moonflower does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since Moonflower collects nothing, changes are unlikely.
